Matrox TripleHead2Go
is a VGA video splitter box to allow 3 displays to be connected to the
system. The way it provides this capability is to tell Windows that
there is only one monitor but with a dimension 3 times the normal
monitor width. The Matrox TripleHead2Go box splits the display content
across three outputs on its own. This clever technique requires only one
input but can output different content through different displays.
To show multiple slide shows simultaneously through Matrox
TripleHead2Go, we will use the
TickerShow feature of
OfficeOne PowerShow.
The TickerShow feature allows multiple slide shows to be displayed
simultaneously on the same monitor. It requires a Layout presentation
that specifies the position and dimensions of the slide shows on the
monitor. For TripleHead2Go's triple-width monitor, we would use the
layout presentation available
here
(
layout_triplehead2go.ppt). The
layout presentation specifies three presentations Pres1.ppt, Pres2.ppt
and Pres3.ppt. Each of these presentation covers different slices of the
triple-width monitor. Effectively, this makes each presentation appear
fully on a monitor.
Following are step-by-step instructions:
- Open Pres1.ppt, Pres2.ppt, Pres3.ppt and
layout_triplehead2go.ppt in PowerPoint.
- Select Slide Show | Ticker Show item.
- Select the monitor 2 as it is the one that has TripleHead2Go
attached to it.
- Select layout_triplehead2go.ppt in TickerShow Layout
Presentation box.
- Click Start Show button.
This will start Pres1.ppt on one monitor, Pres2.ppt on second
monitor and Pres3.ppt on third monitor of Matrox TripleHead2Go.
