OfficeOne PowerShow allows you to display multiple slide shows through
multiple monitors connected to a machine.
PowerShow Session Controller
allows you to view and manage multiple slide shows from one place.
Microsoft Windows has an in-built capability that allows you to use
monitors connected to other machines as monitors on a particular
machine. It shows monitors connected to other machines as if they are
connected to a particular machine. You can use PowerShow in conjunction
with this feature to display slide shows across monitors connected to
different machines and also synchronize them.
The steps are as follows:
- Allow a computer (PC_A) to receive display from another computer:
- In Windows, select Start | Settings | System | Optional Features
- In Add an optional feature, click View features button.
- Search for Wireless Display and place a check against it.
- Click Next and allow Windows to install Wireless Display feature.
- On the other computer (PC_B) that will run PowerShow:
- In Windows, select Start | Settings | System | Display
- Click Multiple Displays | Connect to a wireless display.
- Select the computer PC_A. This will attempt a wireless display connection
- On computer PC_A, allow the wireless display connection from PC_B
- After the wireless display connection is established, start PowerPoint and use PowerShow.
PowerShow correctly identifies the Spacedesk's virtual monitors as monitors connected to
the system. You can now use PowerShow normally.
- You can now configure PowerShow to show the Session Controller
on your primary monitor and the slide shows on other Spacedesk
clients. For a configuration where there is a monitor physically
connected to your central machine and two monitors connected
virtually through Spacedesk, the Spacedesk clients are identified
as monitor 2 and 3. Assuming you want to display slide shows for
presentations Presentation1.ppt and Presentation2.ppt on monitors 2
and 3 respectively and Session Controller on your primary monitor to
control the slide shows, the following are the steps:
- Open your presentation in PowerPoint.
- Select Slide Show | Power Show... menu item.
- On the Presentations tab, set up the configuration as
follows:
- Select <Session Controller> in first row and 1 monitor.
- Select Presentation1 <Slide Show> in the second row and 1
monitor.
- Select Presentation2 <Slide Show> in the third row and 1
monitor.
- Click Start Show button.
Wireless Display connection requires your computer PC_A to support Miracast technology.
In case your computer PC_A does not support it, you can use Spacedesk product as follows.
Spacedesk allows you to use
monitors connected to other machines as monitors on a particular
machine. It shows monitors connected to other machines as if they are
connected to a particular machine. You can use PowerShow in conjunction
with Spacedesk to display slide shows across monitors connected to
different machines and also synchronize them.
The configuration steps are as follows:
- Download and install
Spacedesk Server on your machine that would run PowerShow. The
download .zip file contains two installation files. One for
PrimaryPC, which installs the server and you install that on the
machine that would run PowerPoint and PowerShow. There is this
SecondaryPC installer, which installs the viewer and you install
that on your machine from where you would view full-screen the
server's additional monitors created virtually by Spacedesk.
- Download and install
Spacedesk Client (Personal View) on the machine that adds
display to Spacedesk Server. Each client adds a display to the
server.
- Start Spacedesk Server first and then start Spacedesk clients on
the other machines.
The Spacedesk clients will search and locate the Server automatically
and add a display to the server. You can make the client full-screen
through the View menu, Full screen
menu item.
- After the Server and Clients connect with
each other, start PowerPoint and use PowerShow. PowerShow correctly
identifies the Spacedesk's virtual monitors as monitors connected to
