Create a menu of links to other presentations and use it with PowerShow
PowerShow supports slides with links to other presentations through linking with the presentation objects instead of creating hyperlinks to other presentation through Action Settings. This page lists the steps to set up a menu slide that links to 3 different presentations.
The following configuration steps allow you to create a slide show with links to 3 presentations (PresA.ppt, PresB.ppt, PresC.ppt). The sample files to demonstrate the technique described here are available for download here .
  1. Assume that we have 3 presentations named PresA.ppt, PresB.ppt and PresC.ppt. Create a new presentation called MainMenu.ppt with a new blank slide. In our sample menu list, we want to link to PresA.ppt, PresB.ppt and PresC.ppt.
  2. Create 3 different shapes with text in it (say) "Presentation A", "Presentation B" and "Presentation C". These will form the links to our 3 different presentations.
  3. Insert a link to PresA.ppt on this new slide:
    1. Select Insert tab, Object button.
    2. Select Create from file box.
    3. Locate and select PresA.ppt file.
    4. Put a check against Link as well as Display as icon boxes.
    5. Click OK.
